Verbs
Дієслово Can -це Modal Verb дієслово, яке вживається, щоб висловити ідею, здатність або можливість, виразити можливість або неможливість подій або дії, які стаються і для прохання або надання дозволу.
EXTRA: Can = Могти; Modal Verb = Модальне.
Модальне дієслово Can вживається як допоміжне дієслово і воно є у трьох формах:
Affirmative
Стверджувальна форма дієслова can має таку структуру:
Subject + verb “can” (the form is always the same, even for the third person).

Запитальна форма дієслова can має таку структуру:
Verb can + subject + base form of the verb + (?).

Ми вживаємо Can коли ми говоримо про:
- здатність;
- можливість;
- прохання;
- дозвіл;
- можливість.
Ми вживаємо Modal verb Can для вираження ідеї здатності або дозволу. Ми можемо вживати Can у всіх трьох формах (Стверджувальній, Заперечній, Запитальній).
- Affirmative: Subject + verb “can” (the form is always the same, even for the third person);
- Negative: Subject + verb “can” + not;
- Interrogative: Verb can + subject + base form of the verb + (?).
Наприклад:
— Affirmative: “She can play the piano.” = Це є стверджувальна форма і вживається для підтвердження того, що субєкт, у цьому випадку, здатний зробити щось.
— Negative: “She can’t play the piano.” = Це заперечна форма і вживається для заперечення того, що субєкт у цьому випадку, не здатний щось зробити.
— Interrogative: “Can she play the piano?” = Це запитальна форма і у цьому випадку, вживається для того щоб задати питання чи субєкт, у цьому випадку, здатний зробити щось.
