Punctuation
The apostrophe is a punctuation and diacritical mark.
Here you can see the symbol used to indicate an apostrophe: ‘
- Contractions:
- It‘s (it is) a nice day outside.
- You aren‘t (are not) supposed to be here.
- Who‘s (is) at the door?
- The saxon genitive
- The children‘s room is dirty.
- A car‘s engine has to be checked often.
- Mariana‘s book was very interesting.
We use apostrophe with:
