Introduction
The colon is a punctuation mark composed by two dots in a vertical line. It is used in different situations.

Example
- in enumerations
- The days of the week are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- The four seasons of the year are: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.
- to express the time

Use
We use the colon:
- to announce that an enumeration will follow;
- to express the time, writing the colon between the hours and the minutes.
