This site is operated by My language skills s.l.u. (hereafter called Books4Languages) and may be accessed in Spain and abroad. The terms of this policy apply to all personal information collected by Books4Languages on the website www.books4languages.com, all its subdomains, and other country-specific Books for languages websites which may be linked to www.books4languages.com.
You acknowledge that you have reviewed, in addition to the Privacy Policy, the Data Retention Policy and the Cookies Policy, and any other documents that may be incorporated into it by reference, and that to the extent that they are incorporated into this Policy Privacy Policy undertakes to comply with them.

Collection of Your Information
Books4Languages collects certain kinds of information, such as the website that referred you to us, browser type and language, and access times. We also may collect navigational information, including information about the pages you view, the links you click, and other actions taken in connection with the site. Limited demographic information, such as the industry you work in, may also be collected and may be linked to your personal information. We only collect personal information about you after you have provided us with your consent to collect that specific information.
Personal information includes:
1. information collected when you register or visit the site, including your member name and password, your name, your mailing address, email address, IP address, phone number, education and other professional information required in order for us to certify you…
2. information collected when you make a purchase, including your credit card number and billing address.

Books4Languages engages in cross-device data collection which refers to the process of collecting data from devices that have been determined through statistical analysis to be linked or related. We may combine your visit and navigational information with the personal information that you provide. You may always choose not to provide personal information, but if you so choose, certain products and services may not be available to you.
Use of Your Personal Information
Books4Languages collects and uses your personal information to:
• create and manage your membership account;
• process your transactions;
• provide customer service;
• perform research and analysis aimed at improving our products, services and technologies, including sending you surveys;
• to display content that is customized to your interests and preferences;
• to run contests, select entrants, and choose prize winners;
• to run Interactive Areas;
• if you are a Student of Books4Languages to show the information about you and your language skills.
• if you are Teacher of Books4Languages, to show the information about you and your class; to identify your books as your books;
• If you are a contributor to Books4Languages, remunerate and prepare the tax information sheets;
• If you are a contributor to Books4Languages, identify the content you have uploaded as yours;
• to communicate with you about your transactions, new products and services including transaction-related communications such as welcome letters, billing reminders, and purchase confirmations; and
• we may also send you marketing emails to inform you of new products or services or other information or offers that may be of interest. These marketing emails may come from Books4Languages or our parent company, or any of its divisions, affiliates or subsidiaries.

Information about You Received from Third-Party Services or Other Users
If you log into Books4Languages using information associated with your account at third-party services such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter (collectively, “Third-Party Services”), you thereby authorize Books for languages to access certain information associated with your account with the Third-Party Service, based on the privacy settings you establish at the Third-Party Service. Please review the privacy policies of any Third-Party Services from which you access the Service (please see Third-Party Sites Section below regarding the use of those Third-Party Services).
If you utilize a Third-Party Service to log into Books4Languages, other users to whom you may be connected through such Third-Party Service may able to see that you are a user of Books4Languages or may view or follow information about you on Books4Languages.
Disclosing Your Personal Information
Except as set out in this privacy policy, Books4Languages does not disclose or sell your personal information to any third-parties.
We may disclose your personal information to third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf. For example, we may hire other companies to handle the processing of payments, to provide data storage, to host websites, to fulfil orders and shipments, to assist in marketing, to conduct audits, etc. Those third-party service providers (i) shall be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to provide the service, (ii) must protect personal information to the same extent as Books4Languages, and (iii) shall be prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
We may disclose your personal information to the Books4Languages Group, provided that it uses them for the same purposes contemplated in this privacy policy and offers the same degree of protection established therein. The government of Spain or its agencies may access the personal data provided to the Books4Languages Group by virtue of a legal mandate issued by a court of competent jurisdiction in Spain
Personal information collected by Books4Languages and its affiliated companies may be stored and processed in Spain or any other country in which Books4Languages or its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by providing us with your personal information and using our sites or services, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
Information about our customers, including personal information, may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, or sale of the company and/or its assets, as well as in the unlikely event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership, in which personal information would be transferred as one of the business assets of the company. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information if required or permitted to do so by law.
Issues
Teachers provide Personal Information to us, including books requirements, and information about Students to confirm that Students have earned the applicable badge. The use of information collected from Teachers shall be limited to the purpose of providing the service for which these Teachers have engaged Books for languages.
If Teachers choose to use our services to send a badge to one Student, we will ask for Teachers Student’s name and email address. We will use that information to send the student a one time email inviting him or her to receive the badge and if they choose to join us, to track our services. If you are a Teacher, by using the Website or Services, you confirm that you have obtained prior, specific, and informed consent to provide Personal Information to us. We may request a copy or evidence of such consent.
Books for languages collects information under the direction of the Teacher, or as provided directly to Books for languages by the Student. If you are a Student of one of the Teachers and would no longer like to be contacted by one of the Teachers that use our service, please contact the Teacher that you interact with directly.
A Student who seeks access, or who seeks to correct or amend inaccurate information should direct their query to the Teacher. We retain Personal Information we process on behalf of the Teacher for as long as needed to provide services to the Teacher and the Students. Books For Languages shall continue to make the Service available to Students, including in cases where the Teacher terminates its use of the Service. Individual Books and a Student’s entire account may be deleted by the Student at any time directly through the Service. Books for languages will retain this Personal Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
We may use a third-party provider to administer this function, but any such third-party provider may only use the information submitted to facilitate this one-time email. If you are the Earner and you choose to join us, your Books for languages member name and any information you choose to put on your profile page may be viewable to the person that referred you so that they may track their Books. Affiliates

On some pages, we allow you to share personal information with third parties, such as social networks like Facebook. Keep in mind that removal of a posting from an Interactive Area does not mean that the posting will be deleted from our systems.
Referral
If you decide to use our referral services to inform a friend of our products or services (including images of your Lightbox, promotional campaigns, new websites, job offer messages, etc.), we will ask for the name and email address of your friend. We will use that information to send your friend a unique email inviting your friend to visit the site, see the product or service you have selected and if your friend decides to join us, locate and follow our referral services. We may use an external provider to administer this function, but that third party can only use the information sent to provide a single email.
If you are the person who was referred (by email or by any other means, including our referral program by clicking on a link from a third-party website or an email) and you choose to join us, your username at Books4Languages and any information you choose to put on your profile page can be viewed by the person who referred you so you can locate and follow your referral service.
Children
We do not intend to solicit or collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16 without parental consent. If you are under 16, you shall not use or enter information on this site, including without limitation, any Interactive Areas of the site without parental consent. We may link to websites, including those of our subsidiaries and third-party content providers, that have different privacy policies and practices from those disclosed here. Books4Languages may retain your Personal Information for as long as your account is active and so long as retention is required or permitted in accordance with this Privacy Policy, or otherwise by law. When Books for languages deletes your Personal Information, Books4Languages will do so in a manner designed to ensure that it cannot be reconstructed.
