Introduction
The dot mark has got three names (a dot, a full stop, a point) and several usages according to each subtype.
Form
The mark ‘.‘ has different names, according to where it is used.

Use
We don’t use the ‘.’ mark:
- after the location in letters and documents: we use a comma instead
- in headlines
- in book titles
