32 Nouns - Singular Objects with Plural Form
Nouns
Nouns refer to a person, place, thing, event, substance or quality.
Some Uncountable Nouns or divided objects’ names belong to the group of Plural-only Nouns.
Plural-only Nouns do not have singular form. Below is a list of the most common Plural-Only nouns:
- Scissors;
- Trousers;
- Glasses;
- Thanks;
- Clothes;
- Outskirts;
- Fireworks.
- My scissors are quite old.
- These trousers seem to be too small for him.

We use Plural-Only to refer to some uncountable nouns or to single unity, something that is composed of more than one part (divided objects: Scissors, trousers, glasses, etc.).
Some uncountable nouns or divided objects’ names belong to the group of Plural-Only nouns. Plural-Only means that they only exist in the plural form, not the singular. Some examples of these nouns include scissors, trousers, leggings, glasses, clothes, outskirts, thanks and fireworks.
For example:
— “My dad bought new trousers.” - “My dad bought new trouser.” = Trousers can only exist in plural form.
