The term, adaptation, is commonly used to describe the process of making changes to an existing work. Though we can also replace “adapt” with revise, modify, alter, customize, or other synonym that describes the act of making a change.
To grow the commons of free knowledge and free culture, all users publishing Content are required to grant broad permissions to the general public to re-use their contributions freely, so long as that use is properly attributed and the same freedom to re-use is granted to any derivative works.
