8 Present Simple - Interrogative

Verbs

Present Simple je glagolsko vrijeme koje se koristi za izražavanje radnji koje se događaju redovito, koje se ponavljaju stalno i uvijek.

Upitni oblik služi za postavljanje pitanja.

EXTRA: Present Simple = Prezentom.

Upitni oblik glagola to travel ima ovu strukturu*:
Auxiliary verb “do” + subject + base form of the verb + question mark (?) (“does” za treće lice jednine).

*Iznimke: glagol “to be”.

The third person singular consists of: Third person singular of the verb to do (=does) + subject + base form of the verb you’re conjugating (in this case “to travel”) + question mark (?).

Koristimo Present Simple kad govorimo o:

  1. Budućim događajima (planovi s već određenim datumom);
  2. Vozni redovi (planirani događaji s točnim vremenom);
  3. Navike / rutine (nešto što se događa u više navrata u ovom trenutku);
  4. Činjenice (Stvari koje su istinite, navedene);
  5. Stalne situacije (koje se trenutno odvijaju i koje će se dogoditi u budućnosti);
  6. Obećanja;
  7. Upute (narudžbe);
  8. Završeni radnje u trenutku kad govorimo (npr. komentare);
  9. Neformalno pripovijest (Kada priča priču).

Koristimo Present Simple za izražavanje radnji koje se događaju redovito, koje se ponavljaju stalno i redovito. Kad ga koristimo u upitnom obliku, koristimo ga za postavljanje pitanja.

Present Simple u upitnom obliku se tvori na slijedeći način:
Auxiliary verb “do” + subject + base form of the verb + question mark (?) (e.g. Does he work on Tuesdays?) (“does“za treće lice jednine).

Npr:

— “Do you live in a small flat.” =
— “Does the train leave at 6.” =
— “Does the water boil at 100 degrees Celsius” = .

NOTE: U upitnom obliku kad formiramo Present Simple nikad ne koristimo “do” za treće lice jednine, onda je uvijek “does”.

Students must be informed that the materials are freely available on the Books for Languages’ site and that their purchase of copied materials is optional.

Example: An institution in a remote area has limited Internet access and limited network infrastructure on campus, and a professor offers to create CDs of Books for Languages’ materials relevant to his/her course. The professor may recover the costs of creating the CDs.
