Adverbs
Gli avverbi sono espressioni che funzionano come dei modificatori di altri elementi della frase e forniscono una vasta gamma di informazioni.
Quelli che forniscono informazioni sul luogo in cui un evento si verifica si chiamano avverbi di luogo.

Gli avverbi di luogo danno informazioni sul luogo. Normalmente li posizioniamo dopo il verbo principale o dopo un oggetto. Gli avverbi di luogo non sono dei modificatori di altri aggettivi o avverbi.
- downstairs (situated on a lower floor);
- outside (the outer side of something);
- here (at this point);
- indoors (in buildings);
- abroad (in foreign countries);
- upstairs (up the stairs, on an upper floor);
- inside (the inner side of something);
- there (at that place);
- outdoors (into the open air);
- anywhere (at any place).
Gli avverbi sono importanti perché modificano altri elementi di una frase. In inglese, gli avverbi possono dare informazioni sul luogo in cui un evento si verifica e vengono chiamati avverbi di luogo.
I principali avverbi di luogo sono: abroad, anywhere, downstairs, upstairs, outside, inside, here, there, indoors, outdoors.
